Can Anyone Hear?

Author: Mahmoud Raya
The clock is ticking. A few days remain and perhaps a few hours, after which the mist will disappear. Either we will size up to this homeland of hours or our homeland will become too spacious for us, and we will lose it with everything.
The situation that we have reached necessitates that we review ourselves with a last reflection. Therefore, either we support ourselves or we will be with the others that antagonize us, our people and our society.
Do our words sound right in the midst of a storm of stances that twist the truth and change warnings into accusations and advices into bullets as well as interpret the invitation to harmony as a tendency towards war?
We are on the brink of a disaster, an abyss, where our breathing is getting tighter like someone readying to ascend to heaven. And we do not even try to find the path that will lead us to salvation and bring our homeland back to us as well as preserve our security and open the ways ahead of us into a future of hope.
Did anyone learn from the past or perhaps there is someone stepping beyond judgment? Does anyone think about might happen should we reach a situation of confliction and wars?
O’ Lebanese people, the American is dragging you into disruption and chaos. Therefore, do not follow the American. The fate of Iran’s Shah, Noriega and Saakashvili is a fresh example?
Can any sane person hear?
