I observed all their pictures, re-observed them, and found them all to be laughing.
Dead soldiers laughing, captured soldiers laughing, captured settlers who attend military academy laughing, and soldiers who are readying for assault are laughing.
Is there is a particular secret?
Is this a coincidence?
I asked and heard several opinions. I could not conceive any of the opinions that were suggested by colleagues, companions and friends.
I sensed an internal feeling that gave me some comfort:
These laughs are not innocent.
The intention of those preparing the pictures of the soldiers and settlers for circulation, or those who distributed their pictures after their death or capture, purposely chose pictures in which they appeared with a wide smile on their faces, as if a martial order had been issued and they had to comply. They had to appear laughing as they faced death or capture.
They want to prove to the entire world that these are innocents; that “terrorism” came and killed them, depriving them from the “happy life” which they were living.
Irrespective of the real happiness which they encountered as they enjoyed raping our land and rights, the big question flashing in our minds is:
At whom are they laughing?
Perhaps they were forced to appear laughing in their pictures after they died and after their capture. They had been laughing at the world and at themselves.
However, those distributing the pictures will also have their pictures distributed someday; at that time, we will find out if they will also be laughing.
